The Laboratory for Integrative and System Biology (LaBIS) was funded in June, 2014 and is hosted at the Center for Biology Molecular and Genetic Engineering (CBMEG). The main investment for the LaBIS fundation was granted by FAPESP through the Young Investigator Project System Biology techniques applied to the agriculture: transcriptomes and interactomes analyses (FAPESP process 2011/00417-3).
The main focus of our group is to understand the intricate interactions involved on the organism system biology, ranging from fungi fermentation to insect digestion. We also work on the creation of tools that help researchers to better understand and identify a biochemical pathways from NGS data. At the same time, we are focused on BioIT, providing hardware to high performance analyses.
